The Dawgs rolled out the red carpet last weekend for the top remaining prospect on their recruiting board for the Class of 2013, Laremy Tunsil. The 6'6 315 left tackle was the only official visitor on campus for the Dawgs for the weekend and received the full attention of the Bulldog coaches. From rumors from those on campus, the Dawgs visit went excellent.
However, thats all you have is rumors. Tunsil has gone silent after his visit to Athens and thus far has declined to speak publicly about his visit. The facts we know are - (1) His hosts were Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall, (2) Tray Matthews spent some time with Tunsil, and (3) he went to church with Coach Richt on Sunday.
As far as I am concerned, silence is a great sound after a visit of this magnitude. It means the Dawgs gave him a lot to think about and he is taking his time processing all of the information. I have no inside information on this visit but my years of experience closely following recruiting tells me that Tunsil may have told Coach Richt he wants to be a Dawg but does not want it to go public until he finishes his visits.
Tunsil strikes me as that kind of young man. The type who knows what he wants but does not want to make a pubic announcement until he has weighed all of his options. Don't be surprised to see if he starts to talk publicly about his visit today now that it has had time to sink in. If he does end up signing on the dotted line with the Dawgs on Signing Day it will be the most excited I have been for a commitment since Stafford.
